The NBA has fined Minnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations David Kahn $50,000 and also has fined the team $50,000 for his “inappropriate comments” concerning recently acquired forward Michael Beasley, the league announced today.

Not much else going on in the NBA world today.

Darko Milicic came into the league as an 18-year-old (actually drafted when he was 17) and was drafted second overall by the Detroit Pistons.

Many players would sulk after getting sent from a playoff contender to the second-worst team in the league, but former Seattle Prep standout Martell Webster said he welcomes last week’s trade from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired the former lottery pick with Portland in a trade for the 16th overall pick on draft night last week.
