The Heat needed to trade Beasley to clear cap room to sign James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and a supporting cast. The Miami Herald reported in their Sunday edition that Minnesota Timberwolves General Manager confirmed that he had contacted the Heat about trading for Michael Beasley. The deal would have sent Beasley to the Wolves and Ryan Gomes to the Heat. The Heat could have got 4 million in cap space had they made the deal. Not much else going on in the NBA world today.
